I have used 8/81 a lot and i agree JJH93 you need a pure palest yellow base or it won't take Re lift, then tone with 1:1 ratio of CT 8:81 and 4% intensive. I find 1:2 isn't strong enough often. Keep watching it but you want that sexy sexy silver to GRAB! Lol

Look at the colour wheel maybe, should give you an idea of tones and what enhances and what mutes tones, Just like art :-)

Medications , contraceptive pills can all cause thinning of the hair. I does look like your hair has thinned out. Wouldn't be new growth. It may just thin a little and stop. It happens as we age You can buy great Hair Vitamins in Tesco , maybe see if that helps

Its not mixing the bleach and developer that's difficult, it's knowing how to choose the correct developer and timing so you don't snap off the clients hair!

Hi All, I am doing a subtle balayage from a natural flat level 5 which she wants going to a warm 8/3. Would you use a high lift with 40 vol on this, and which is best to achieve warmth? 12/89? Or would you bleach with 10 vol and tone with pastel ? I prefer not to use bleach with Balayage...
