I wouldn't use Hot with a tidy up. I use my strip wax and salon services wax pot.

Straight in with colour. I only buff when doing infills, or when the nail looks like it has 'bulky shoulders' then I will go in and refine. xxx

No it doesn't! Buffing the shine off the nail plate doesn't give the polish or acrylic or gel system anything to adhere to.

Try etching the nail plate with a 180 grit file rather than buff. xx

I would say its a mix of your preparation of the natural nail plate & being too close to the sidewalls. Spend more time getting all of the non living tissue off the nail plate. You want it to look bare and clean, with no trace of any cuticle/NLT. Then I would concentrate more on your acrylic...

Why don't you give her a call and ask how it is? She would appreciate the call even if everything is fine! If it's not - agree to take a closer look when she's back in and ask her how she would like to be compensated? Not only does this make you look caring, it will make her feel valuable.

I do portfolio sets - something I want to try - I chose the length, shape, colour - everything. I discount £10. I just think another person wearing my nails and I get my materials paid for - fills a space. when people walk past I am busy, it looks good. they don't know its a portfolio set. xxx

Try capping the edge of the nails. Brush backwards towards the cuticle to fully cap those pesky ones!

The soak off is amazing with Ink. Definitely the quickest. I use the XLac so no base, no top - just two coats of the polish and you're done.
