Paraffin wax treatments/how long/how many sessions...?

This is an informative site......they use heated mitts with the wax, i guess because the extra heat is beneficial, but I would keep a check on the heat of my own mitts... Sports & Physical Injuries Clinic - Paraffin wax Treatment & Cost

Paraffin wax treatments/how long/how many sessions...?

Thanks girls for the replies......yes, great idea to do the wax as an add on which I have stated on my leaflets and even better idea to do it as a freebie to get clients interested as I think a lot of them will not be sure of it at first. I have tried it myself and the wax cools really quickly...

Paraffin wax treatmentsand hot oil treatments

I am about to do mobile manicures plus oil and paraffin wax in heated mitts treatments. But what is the correct way to write these on my price lists etc? I like the following but what does anyone else think? Warm paraffin wax Warm oil ('Hot' oil may scare people off?)

Paraffin wax treatment and hot oil treatment charges to clients

I am about to go mobile with my manicures, hot oil and paraffin wax treatments but was wondering what anyone charges for the oil or wax in heated mitts without a manicure? Also, should I do some kind of discount for my 'senior' clients? I am only going to do one kind of manicure which is...

Paraffin wax treatments/how long/how many sessions...?

Hi all, I have got my little paraffin wax heater (Babyliss) ready to do mobile manicures and am working on my prices and timings..I can melt the wax at home (the pot has a lid) so by the time I get to the client it is at the right temp (I will test it of course) to work with if they are...

    Wax heater for when mobile?

Hi everyone, I am about to go mobile with manicures and am wanting a paraffin wax heater. I have learnt a lot of tips from this site and have narrowed it down to one that holds the small pots of wax. Questions: Does the wax go into the heater loose or would I need a lining or one of...

Bio Sculpture Gel Re-useable Nail Forms

I use clear forms when sculpting with gel, but was wondering if it would be more cost effective to buy something such as Bio Sculpture Gel Re-useable Nail Forms also, how easy are these to use, and which way is anyones favourite?

Removing a set of soak-off gel nails in a natural nail overlay?

How often is it 'safe' to use tip remover to remove a full set of natural nail overlay gel nails (clear)? I guess using the foil method is better than dipping the whole finger in pots? Would you say that clear soak-off gel is not really designed to be filed or infilled, so, if it is to be...

Akzentz soak off - Infill and file or best to soak off and start again?

I see what you are saying, but my client requested the soak-off gel and my issue is that it is very hard to file off, very 'rubbery' (and it will end up taking me so long for very little reward, money-wise) but I know soak-off gels can differ from each other.

Akzentz soak off - Infill and file or best to soak off and start again?

Well, client has natural nail overlay with Akzentz clear soak-off gel which I have just started offering. She is coming back on tuesday as she wants me to add a white area to cover her 'ikky' looking free edges which are of a 'peeling' nature! I did a practice on my business partners thumb...

Soak off gel, the colour of the natural free edge area

Yep, good idea.....and I had read on this site that it's possible to add a free edge (like a white tip area) using file-off gel if it is sandwiched between soak-off gel as it will still soak away. I tried this today on my business partner using a soft white, it looks great but I will soak it off...

Soak off gel, the colour of the natural free edge area

I have a fab file-off gel by Akzentz that I use for sculpting an opaque, realistic and natural looking free edge.....but I also really want a soak-off one but can't find any (apart from Bio-sculpture which I can't buy without having done their training)? Any ideas?....Or has anyone mixed their...

    Infills, rebalance, lifting, filing, eek!

I use a finer file, but still that gel line keeps escaping further away from me? The buff-off gel is ok to file, but the soak off gel is quite rubbery:lol: But I will try again and just stick with the fine file as I did use a 180 for a little bit which was a bit daft if hardly any lifting...

    Infills, rebalance, lifting, filing, eek!

Ok, lets cut straight to the quick (lol!) Infills! Looks like there is not much lifting going on (buff-off gel) yet when I carefully file away, bits of gel come away, and I am careful not to file on the natural nail, I am sometimes firm, sometimes lighter, but gradually the gel line is getting...

    Help please!!! disaster with tips

Hi, I just wondered what the outcome of your 'dilemma' was? Well, a lady came in to see me the other day and all her tips (done by someone else) which had been done the day before had all popped away from her natural nail and what caused it was the other nail tech had squeezed the tips too much...
