I use shampoo and conditioner every other day (i use Aussie because i have very straight hair and it works great). I've never really used hair product over a long period of time. Is it ok to wear like a wax every day, i mean do i just wash it off with water every day? I was told not to shampoo every day so i'm just wondering is water going to be enough?

My hair is fairly thick and i have a long swept fringe on top if that changes anything.
