How did you ladies start working mobile?

How did you find your clients? How many can you do in a day?

Do you enjoy it that way?

Sorry for all the questions! I'm starting out and I'm trying to find what the best way is for me. At this point with young kids, I have to work around their schedule until they get older, at which point I'll be more flexible and more experienced. But in the meantime, I love what I do and need the work and the practice!

Thank you!

I'm in the UK, so don't know if things are different in Canada! Anyway, I found clients by advertising - the best way of getting my name out there was the Yellow Pages (a directory of businesses). I paid for a boxed advert (which isn't cheap) but it has always paid for itself. Now, I have a website which is doing well as well as free line listings on other directories. I've also advertised in the local paper with mixed results. 3 years down the line I also get a lot of my clients by word of mouth.

As for numbers of clients, I work Monday to Friday between 9am and 3pm and I also do evenings Monday to Thursday. I can fit 3 enhancement clients in per day (9am, 11am and 1pm including the travelling in between) and although I can fit 2 clients into an evening I choose to generally do 1 so I can get home at a sensible time. Busy times of the year I often end up doing 2 clients most evenings though!!

Lastly, I love being mobile! I love the flexibility, I love being out and about, I love the fact my clients really appreciate the fact I come to their house, and I love the feeling of freedom - my time is my own and my business is run as I choose it!

hi
Word of mouth. If you give your client an amazing set of nails people will admire them and want to know where they got them done. make sure all your clients have your card so they can pass it on to potential new clients, you might want to offer a small incentive for them to do this such as a set amount off there next set of nails

i usually take my appointments with 2 hours in between. This gives you time to set up, do the treatment , arrange payment, book next appointment and get to your next appointment on time.I would always try to book people in the same area , on the same day if possible, just means less sitting in traffic As you get used to travelling i find you can judge your times really well.
