Not sure which to train in.. gel or acrylic? Which is more popular? Is one cheaper than the other for products? Is one easier than the other? Thanks

Hi Jessica
Did you decide? I'm just about to do the same and have both options

I trained in gel I love it. I plan on training in acrylic next year but so far it seems to be going well and I've got a good regular client base building up xx

That's so good to hear Jessica, well done .
That's exactly what I was thinking of doing so good to know.
Thanks again

My twopence worth:

Acrylic is more robust imho and better for long lengths
Gel is easier to get to grips with
Not much difference in cost so I price both the same
No difference in what they look like although some people think gel feels a bit lighter

Ideally learn both as you've said then if some people have a preference you don't have to turn the, down x

Edit to add: im talking about gel extension products, not to be confused with gel-polish like Shellac, Gellux, Gelish etc which don't offer the same strength as a builder gel for extensions
