I find the best mothod for removing acryilc is to file them down and wrap in aluminium foil with a cotton pad soaked it acetone for each finger. Then you leave them on for 10 mins and take off one by one scraping the acrylic off the nail, this way you dont expose the whole finger to the acetone like you would in a dip method.
When it is cold I like to put my parifin gloves on my clients and get them to tuck there hands under thier armpits and relax for 10 mins.
I would only perform a soak off only if the clients request or if it really needed, you dont need to take them off every 3 months or so.

I sometimes apply polish after a gel top coat, then the client can take it off and still have nice nails underneath. Or you could add glitter to your acrylic or gel.

to answer your first question, you should neverrrr have to soak off acrylics as long as they are applied properly. with regular fills and rebalancing they will continue looking new as long as your client wishes to wear them. the only time I would soak off is if the acrylic gets cracked, in which case I would soak off only the damaged nail and replace it. soaking off acrylic can be damaging to the natural nail and the skin around the nail but wearing enhancements (applying, infilling, backfilling, rebalancing) is never damaging if done correctly.

and for your second question, I would paint directly on the acrylic and then apply your UV topcoat over everything, just make sure the paint is completely dry or it won't hold up while the topcoat is curing. you could also just mix some glitter into the acrylic you're using for the tip to save yourself a step, and you won't have to worry about the polish chipping or peeling off:) if you decide to go this route you can mix 1 part glitter to 2 parts powder for the best results. you also might want to lay down a very thin layer of clear on the tip first, then apply the glitter acrylic so that if your client wants to change tip colors or nix the glitter you can just file the tip down to the clear layer instead of filing the free edge completely off and having to sculpt a new one.

when you say mix glitter and use 1 part glitter 2 parts powder..... may be a stupid question but what do you use to measure this???

you can use anything to measure as long as you use the same thing for the glitter and the powder. I use a small 1/4 teaspoon scoop, its usually just about perfect for 1 set of nails but every tech is different so like I said as long as you make sure to use the same instrument to measures your glitter and powder, you'll always have consistent coverage and matching colors, helps with fills as I don't need to keep a special pot of a custom mix color for any client
