Hi, I've been a hairdresser for 14yr now and just decided to go self employed, but I've only ever worked with wella colours & redken products, I love both but I was looking 4 something abit cheaper so I can keep my prices reasonable but I havnt a clue what's about. Any advice & recommendations would be greatly appreciated. X

I was mobile for almost 4 years, my biggest piece of advice is DONT use lower end products, charge your worth or you will attract the wrong type of clientele. I always used the best of what I could get my hands on, no one ever questioned my prices. I have just opened a salon and increased my prices by approx 35% ... Give people added value not cheap and they will be happy to pay xx

Thanx, I'll keep that in mind. I'll probably just stick to wella for now. X
