I've had 2 acrylic wraps come clean off my nails. I'm not able to get to a salon to get the rest removed (kids all home etc). Is it realistic to think I can remove the rest myself at home with acetone based nail polish remover or am I asking for trouble?

you can but you'll need to soak your nails for a LONG time and you will need a file!

Acetone based polish remover isn't really strong enough. You need to use Acetone, you can usually buy a small bottle from the chemist. However you need to use an acetone proof bowl as Tupperware, plastic bowls etc will melt  a glass Pyrex bowl would be okay.

I think I'm gonna have to some how find a way to get to a salon. Thanks ladies x
