Hello everyone.

Im having a few problems with air bubbles in my white acrylic. once i have buffed they end up showing up black and just look awfull, i end up havin to file them out and add more product, therefore taking longer!!!
This is really getting me down as i just feel like im moving backwards all the time. I have been doing nails for 5 years now but only a few sets a week, i make sure all the air bubbles are out of my brush, i leave the product for a few seconds to settle before patting it out too.
I apply my own nails but i do them in the house and do not have this problem at all. I work from my converted garage away from the house, is it possible that the cold could have anything to do with it. I heat the room before hand, and keep it on if i need to while im working but i keep my product in there and it does get very cold.
Im just at the end of my teather with this problem and its really getting me down as i have never had any probs or complaints with nails.
Sorry for the long thread, just needed to vent, hopefully you can all give me some ideas.
Thanks for reading
will look forward to your replies

Could you be working too wet? I know from past experience working too wet with pink can cause air bubbles.

Try using a drier bead of white and see if that helps.

Other than that i cant help as never experienced bubbles with the white.

I some times have this problem when working with clear acrylic and asked my trainer today what could be causing it and was told that if you over pat the acrylic this can also cause bubbles. could the black bits be tiny bits from your files that have got into the bubbles or tiny holes.

hope this helpsxxxxxxx
Im sure there will be loads of people on here who can help you.;)

It does sound like you are working too wet,
and if you are working too wet and in a cold area it will take even longer to cure and set,
you could try using moxie monomer, this has a faster cure time and could help when working in cold areas,
i know most of the girls that compete use moxie because it is so cold in the comp arenas hth
