Warwick, Bath, Bristol, Nottingham, Leicester and St Andrews. She's done Manchester which is 30 minutes away...that was the easy one!

Thanks Emily! :)

Do you know if the train station is anywhere near the university of Leeds please? Is it walkable or a bus/taxi journey?

I was also wondering if there was a Best Western/Nouvotel type of hotel near the uni as well?

Same for Huddersfield really!

Grateful for any guidance as I don't know it whatsoever :)

I've just had to check on my Google Maps exactly where the uni is and it is pretty central to Leeds city centre, by walking you walk up through the shopping centre 10-15 minutes.

The actual car route due to the one way system actually takes a similar amount of time.

I'm not overly familiar with hotels in that area but with it being central I would imagine you'd have a pretty good pick of places to stay :)

The university will have a main building & then many numerous parts of campus dotted around the city. It will depend on how they hold their event & whether you visit a specific department or not as to whether you can walk from the station.

For instance my stepson has just visited Edinburgh & as a prospective law student was about 20 minutes away from his friend who is studying history. Whereas when I went I was in a totally different postcode to either of them due to being on the science campus. These institutions cater to like 30,000 students there are so many different locations in specialist buildings dotted around the city.

Any university town will have excellent transport links to the main campuses it won't be a problem they are set up for mass influx of visiting people.

I live in Leeds, I would say it's about 15 mins walk from the train station. I can't comment on a specific hotel as never had the need to stay over but there are plenty near the train station and central x

My youngest is at Leeds. Bloody fab place. It's a bit of a trek to the main campus but it is walkable but I would jump in a cab. We're there tomorrow. My daughter absolutely loves it. Any questions just ask x

So if we stayed in Leeds, is there a train to Huddersfield? Am I right thinking Huddersfield is a small town?

Yes there's trains regularly that go direct taking 20 minutes.

Huddersfield isn't a massive city but not small either.
