She will get first three days no pay then after that will get SSP. Maybe that will make her realise her finger isn't so bad after all.

So.. She was off Tuesday, Wednesday her normal day off and then won't be in Thursday Friday Saturday- meaning she isn't entitled to anything am I right?!
Sorry just wanting to make sure I'm a 100% correct!
 
She might not qualify for SSP , she has to be earning over £111 pw. If she is on a training scheme the rules are a little different. Ring HMRC they will advise you best.
 
When to start paying SSP
SSP is paid when the employee is sick for 4 days in a row (including non-working days). You start paying SSP from the fourth day (if they normally work that day).


Off HMRC website. So she was off Tues, Wed and Thurs with no pay. Fri and Sat will be statutory pay. If you go on HMRC site, it has a statutory pay calculator.
