There always seems to be confusion with this one so I thought I'd pop the question:

What is the difference between a bacterial and a fungal infection?

A bacterial infection is found on the surface of the nail and will cause a greenish stain - the by product of where the bacteria has been.

A fungal infection happens inside the nail plate. Fungal infections are very rarely found in fingernails but are more common on toes.

Also fungus eats away at keratin, and there for will eat away at skin, and nail plate causing it to break up.

Nice!
