Hello please help.

I'v recently started using silk again, i did all my initial training in it too, after a year out. I managed to grow my own and i'v been doing l&p overlays on them. Now its Xmas everyone's asking for there trustie Teri' nails again...i'm using Soft Touch products, as i did before, and once iv compleated the nail the slightest knock and there shattering. The tip is fine but the resin and activator looks like cracked glass!!! please help as to how i can rectify this. I'v bought all new products and im using all the same system. I'v got 2 full sets this week and need them to be perfect as normal!

Urgh very frustrating!:irked:

Usually when you see shattering of the resin like this it is because you have applied it too thickly instead of building it up in many thin layers.

Work in thinner layers and use as little activator as you can. Too much activator will shock cure the resin and also cause it to shatter easily.

thank u for your quick reply....i will try again on mine now! :green:

Remember that not every layer needs to be sprayed with activator. What you spray on the top to cure one coat, will also cure the next one with no spraying needed. Too much activating causes shattering and product breakdown way too early.
