Aromatherapy Associates benefits from significant investment

Beauty and spa skincare line Aromatherapy Associates has gained new investors in the company. Aiming to drive new areas of growth and expansion, the British brand has announced Ian Richardson and Dr. Magdy Ishak (who, together, built up and sold Covenant Healthcare Limited for £170m in 2005) will join AA’s team, alongside co-founder Geraldine Howard.

Howard, who continues in her role as MD, said: “This is a really important step in the development of Aromatherapy Associates. With 30 years of practical experience behind us, we’re really excited to be working with Ian and Magdy, and are glad to have found partners whose growth plans build on the company’s heritage, whilst expanding its global presence.”

Ian Richardson added: “Geraldine and Sue [Beechey, co-founder] have built an immensely strong brand with a remarkable global reach and recognition. We’re delighted to be working with Geraldine and the rest of the team to help expand it further.”

My BF is a huge AA fan! Particularly the travel sized products that you get in Mandarin Oriental hotels ... hope this continues! Our last stay netted us nearly 30 of the little bottles of joy.

Hopefully this investment will enable them to become more of a Salon brand, with an expanded range of skincare and professional products.

I used AA in my last salon & absolutely loved their body products (especially the Deep Relax & Revive) - they are probably the nicest smelling body products I've ever used. The body treatments are to die for & the training was very well delivered by exceedingly helpful & friendly trainers. The only problem I found with their range was that their skincare line was a little lacking, especially in terms of professional only products. Other than that they are fantastic range!
