Hi

I've been reading baout the Matte Shellac so I've got the buffer etc to get started and thought I'd test it on my self first.

Please let me know your thoughts..... have I got this right? I don't think it's quite a 'Matte' as I'd like but I didn't want to buff too much as remove the top coat.

nothing wrong with it. u did great!
 
I found, through trial and error, that you need to do 2 coats of topcoat to be able to truly buff the Shellac to a longlasting Matte finish- with out removing any of the color polish (which it looks like happened to the free edge in your pic)
 
Which buffer do you recommend for this? They look really good :) x
