Baylayage + roots

Hi!

I have a client who wants baylayage, which is fine, but she also needs her roots doing.

We have been doing half head of bleach + 12/1 highlights, she hasn't had it done 3 months so has some root (shes a 5/6 Base), I'm not sure which is the best method for this, obviously I don't want any banding from the colours joining.

Any suggestions much appreciated x

Paint the regrowth on.
Develop.
Wash off.
Dry.
Balayage
Develop
Wash off
Finish.
