Nilam Holmes Patel knows what she's talking about when it comes to brows so, when she says that we should be doing something with our brows, we know it must be true.

Inspired by this season's runway looks, Holmes Patel says that the heavy, exaggerated eyebrow of last year is making way for the 'brushed up brow'. According to the brand, the brow trend is fresher, more natural and highly textured.

“This season we are softening the brows to create a look that will work for everyone,” says CEO and Founder of HD Brows, Nilam Holmes-Patel. “The key to getting this look right is keeping the brow hair long and textured, while still maintaining the structured HD Brows shape.”

“To create the distinctive look, every hair should be brushed upwards – you want to see every hair stroke. The shade of the brows is also significant – they should be multi-tonal throughout – from bulb to tip. The hairs should be visible so use a fine brow pencil to almost draw on the hair, such as HD Brows Brow Tec, which can create precise fine lines, rather than filling in the brows to create a block-like colour. Brushed up brows is all about the texture, with the overall look being simple but beautiful, and still very much a statement.”

Better brush up on my brow knowledge then.

Until then...geek on!
