You may or may not know, but the last week has officially been National Spa Awareness Week. No less than 150 UK spas have supported the event which ran until today.

National Spa Awareness Week is organised by the UK Spa Association in support of the military charity Combat Stress. It seems fitting that the event coincides with National Stress Awareness Day, on November 6th, and in conjunction with the International Street Management Association, the UK Spa Association hopes to promote the importance of managing stress effectively in everyday life.

Rockliffe Hall, The Spa in Dolphin Square and spa chains Champneys and Virgin Active have all got involved and have invited clients to turn their backs on stress by offering discounted spa treatments, fundraising activities, spa offers, and promotional events to discuss stress in everyday life.

On National Stress Awareness Day, Champneys held a live web TV show discussing its Wellbeing Report. The report investigated the causes of stress amongst people and what spas and therapists can do to help clients combat this.

Spaseekers & Wahanda are also doing special vouchers to be redeemed at the participating spas. Others taking part are offering 50% off and two-for-one massages.

Until then...geek on!
