hey everyone is anyone from grantham i need to find a salon which will take me on as an apprentice for beauty therapy level2 if anyone could help id be more than grateful

Have you tried ringing around. Your not short of choice there. Have you tried Lorna at Enhance beauty, She is planning to expand and takes on trainees. Shes an excellent therapist and was a trainer for CACI for years.
But you also got living health and Grantham beauty clinic. There always quite busy and have a lot of therapist already. You may need to maybe do a day a week voluntary or something to get your foot in the door.
The new one in the market place Capellis is another one worth trying or the salon in Belton Woods hotel.
The list is endless!! Grantham is just a hoard of beauty and hair salons, even though very few people there look like they use them, they must do cause there always busy!!
Go in and speak to the managers and see if you can meet each other half way or something. Most of them are pretty approachable.

Try Beauty Retreat near Maccy Ds too Forgot about that one. The owners lovely. Although the proximity to fast food is highly dangerous lol! xx

lol thanks for all the info hun im very greatful ill go around town tomorrow and start at the beauty retreat near kings is it? i just hope i get in somewhere plus im 20 and usually they like younger apprentices

Yes Enhance is opposite kings in the courtyard from the pedestrian crossing. The beauty Retreat is by Macdonalds.
Shouldnt think your age is a disadvantage. I prefer older apprentices as they tend to listen and are more reliable than young ones. I have had a mixture of both. I take people on individual merit nothing else. I reckon most salons are the same. If I had a young girl more suitable to my business I would take them on or vice versa. Age is nothing, eagerness to learn is.

yeah if i had my own business id rather have people who would want to learn and mainly younger apprentices dont really want the expierence or to learn their just keen on the money....im deffo more than up for learning just want to better myself and my qualifications and ill do anything to do that!
