I am a nail tech using bio (part time) the rest of the time I work as an orthodontic nurse and wear latex gloves all day.
I get my nails done by someone else, their prep seems thorough but i have had some lifting...only just started having bio put on whilst wearing the gloves, does anyone know if this would cause the lifting?

The only other thing i have done is use a nail inc lotus oil pen around my cuticles but only twice.

Thanks peeps:lol:

I would say its the gloves...hands sweat when in gloves for along time and a soft soak off gel like bio wont like that...when i used it i had the same problem with a client who used a rubber finger thing for counting money...was the only nail that lifted.

Latex gloves for a long time is not good with soak off gels. A tip is to use thin cotton gloves under the latex, the cotton absorbs the sweat. But probably you are not alowed to use them, working as orthodontic nurse.

The nails inc lotus oil won't cause lifting, but it's not a great idea to use while wearing enhancements as it contains ingredients to stimulate growth, causing the need to infill sooner.

ditto with bagpuss, the gloves and the sweating whilst wearing them and the 'coasting of the insides of the gloves' always stick to my gel when i wear them.

I love wearing the coloured soak off's but they are NOT practical when im working doing other peeps nails!
