Ive a regular client who is in her 1st trimester of pregnancy
she is prone to oily and problematic skin which has now flared up pretty badly due to the pregnancy hormone changes, mostly inflamed acne pustules on her back and now hairline.

I was thinking of some biological mask mixes such as flowers of sulphur, camomile witch hazel etc but concerned with her being pregnant as ive never treated someone who is pregnant with such inflamed skin

ive already given her homecare advice for diet and exercise etc but she is concerned about her skins appearance and future scaring

any advice would be much appreciated! x

i hope someone has some advice! i am 16 weeks pregnant and my skin is definately not glowing!! my back and my shoulders are quiet sore with spots, and my chin and neck are really bad but using a facial steamer seems to work but i just wish i could get rid of it!!

It is due to hormonal imbalance, so there is not so much you can do. Beside it is even harder to treat because she is pregnant. Most effective treatments I know I would not do on pregnant women. You can recommend her to use clay masks for oily skin, use only mineral make up and use light skin peels to control the oil production. But make sure there is no essential oils, or high dose of vitamin A in the products. To avoidd scaring it is important not to pick the spots. For her back I would recommend to use anti bacterial wash(twice a day), and as well avoid scratching and picking the spots.
Sorry, can't be much help
