hey everyone im thinkin about doin brazilian blow drys in my salon but not sure where and who does training any one no anywhere near newcastle that does it x:)

We use Kerastraight at my salon. You don't need any training for it. It's really easy to do, just very time consuming!

hey where do u get it from ,is there instructions with the kit is it worth it for the time it takes iv never seen it done before but my clients keep asking for it xx

Hiya its well worth getting in my clients love it it does take about 2hrs but results are fab its really easy to do as well xx

hi which product do u use and did u have any training how much do u charge? i no every salon is different x x:)

I attended a course in brazilian blow dry with capital hair and beauty, its £120 with £90 worth of free products. I would def recommend doing training before trying these products out on your customers as you have a trouble shooting session in the training which you can refer to at a later date. Also i think your clients would feel happier knowing youve had training rather than jut reading the back of the box :s also i would recommend the Brazilian blowdry using la brasiliana as this is what people recognise the name of. Its also been mentioned and had good reviews on ITV this morning xx

I use la brasiliana too. Really don't think you need training. If you are a competant hairdresser, it is just a long winded blow dry.

I contacted my insurance and they said you need a certificate of completion for your insurance to be valid in specialist treatments i.e brazilian straightening, hair extensions, lash extensions etc, as I thought would be the case. I've been hairdressing for 8yrs and have always had training on new products before I use them, even if its just the rep coming out and talking through it thoroughly xx

il definatly look into that thanks for everyones advice:)x

hmmm, many brands dont offer any formal training...and it is my experience that the ones who do are in more of a saftey format rather than a technical stand point. It is about small perfect sections, and thorough ironing.
Saftey will depend on each and every brand. Mine is QOD MAX.
We use masks, a fan and an air purifier...even with only .02 forma content
Prices start at $200 and go up from there, and clients can purchase one of 3 chloride-free shampoos for aftercare.
