Broken nail

I have acrylic over lay with relish polish on
A corner of my nail has broken off
I’ve filed it down just hoping it doesn’t cause any more damage
Is there anything I can do to prevent more damage?
Really hoping it can last until my next appt next weekend as out on Friday

Its hard to say , without a pic or can you explain the damage ? is it just the polish thats damaged? or your actual nail?
