Builder Gel with Gelish

I have a client who has her nails done religiously with Gelish but now her nails are very thin. Ive been reading a few posts and people mention builder gel over the base coat before the colour, can someone shed some light on this for me please? I dont want to use different systems so want to stick with Gelish througout?

Gelish Structure gel can be used either on top of Foundation before color or on top of the color before TIO. You can use it to build an arch on flat nails or in a medium thickness layer to just add strength to the natural nail. It will, however, add to the soak off time. That is why I like to put it over the color--so it will get some of its' own fiing at soak off time.
