There is a new buzz in the Irish hair and beauty sector, with the launch last month of Hive, a cloud-based booking system and management software for hair and beauty salons spas or any appointment-based therapies.
Hive allows businesses to cost-effectively communicate with, and market to, their customer base. Scheduling appointments and automated client alerts is part of the Hive basic functionalities but the system also provides complete valuable business support and management information, including sales reporting and analysis, client relationship management, employee performance, an EPOS system for processing payment, and a superb creative marketing tools.
This innovative tech start-up company is based in Synergy Centre, ITT, Tallaght, founded by Dublin business men Lawrence Parnis and Shino Jose. Hive is described as "simple but powerful" salon software and the fact that the product is uniquely cloud-based means that, unlike other salon technology, the Hive system is totally mobile, reducing cost of ownership and can be accessed anytime, anyplace, anywhere, on any device 24/7 by the salon staff and management.*
"Hive is incredibly versatile, working on any device. All you need is a browser to access Hive. It is simple to take bookings and manage the salon from any computer, whether a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone, and our free Facebook and website booking widgets effectively drive sales and business growth", according to Lawrence Parnis, the Irish technology entrepreneur.
A consumer search engine, complementing the Hive booking system which is fully integrated with Hive Software, will be launched in the coming months, extending the sales, last minute deals/bookings. Unlike conventional salon software providers, there are no high monthly fees for the product support and new updates.
"Hive is a smart and easy technology resource that helps salon owners to analyse buying behaviour, create targeted promotions, find new clients, and accept online payments. Already we have overseas salons contacting us, who have had very positive feedback from colleagues in the industry, and want to try the power of Hive for themselves", says the founders.
Those interested in more product information can visit Hive.
Until then...geek on!
