Hi

Has anyone had any problems using the colour no.33. I did a set of nails last week . It was wishy washy on application. Service time was longer as I had to use 3 coats (3 mins to cure per coat). I prepared the nail as normal - cuticle remover & tool to remove pterigum, etc.

The nails were on a week & the client came back in tonight with lifting. It wasn't just any old lift, the whole gel was peeling of on a couple of nails and with closer inspection I could literally peel all the nails off with no damage whatsoever. After removing all the nails without any soak off solution at all I ended up applying a clear coat on all nails until she can get back in obviously at no cost to her.......

Not a happy bunny guys!!!!

Any advice anyone???
xx

sorry you had a bad time with this but it is likely that the lamp is at fault and not you hun. Check your bulbs, if they look black/greyish at one end then change them. The gel looks cured and is hard but it peels off because it actually is not cured fully.

Clear is so different to the colour gels. So your clear may stay on her better. HTH's

Well I must say, I've had probs with this one before too! The coverage was a bit pants (bit streaky like you said) and because I had to put more than 2 layers on it kept running into the side walls so therefore had to part freeze each nail etc. etc.

I did phone head office about it who confirmed this one was a bit trickier than the other colours but try part freezing maybe every 2 nails after your coats then cure the whole hand at the end for the full 3 mins. It's worth a shot but not sure why the whole darn gel would peel off completely after a while!

Thanks for your comments. I rang head office today and explained what had happened. They said that this colour amongst a couple of others were tricky to apply. They suggested applying a clear coat first as the colour apparently adheres better to this base not the natural nail. All I can do at the moment is try it on myself and see how I go. This tip, however, would have been helpful before I had done the service so that I wasn't out of pocket. Also tips on which colours did this so you could save a bit of hassle!!

Oh well - you live & learn!!
