Calgel - gel wiping straight off agghhhhh

hiya

anyone give me some advice when i go to do my wet layer of gel - why does it come straight off etc even though i have prepared the natural nail.

This is causing me some stress and thinking i am not good enough but i know that practice practice will come together in the end.

if someone can point me in the correct direction would be much appreciated.

What do u mean the wet layer is coming off ? not quote sure what u mean lol Is it coming off when you put on your the first real coat? xx

Hi, sorry to here about your troubles!!!
I sometimes find if the gel is applied too thick then it will wipe off after curing. On some of the darker colours i might use three layers as the colour can not be as definate as it could be iygwim.

Sorry I totally mis read your message!!!
I always make sure that the calguard has dried properly before I do the wet layer or the only other thing is if the prep is not done properly and there nail is still a bit shiny.
If you ring up calgel, they are really helpful if you have any problems.:biggrin:
