Now we have a little one and two dogs we are a bit restricted this year for going on holidays abroad so we are off camping in Loch Ness in a couple of weeks time. I would be grateful for any tips and advice on fodds to take when you have a 13 month old baby and a vegetarian hubby.

I am really looking forward to it but have a feeling I am gona need all the help I can get lol

How about pasta dishes, vegetarian chilli, mushroom stroganoff, stews, wraps, bangers and beans, noodles and veggies (those straight to wok ones).

Any of those ideas any good??

I absolutely love camping!! You can buy those camping cookers which have 2 hobs and a grill underneath (rather than just one hob or those bunsen burner looking thingys) so you could basically take anything that you usually have at home to heat up in a pan on the hob!

Scrambled eggs on toast for your breakfast or you could ready make dishes at home such as chilli con carne and put it in an airtight tub - then the night you want it, empty it into your pan to heat it up alongside your pasta and your away!!!

I'm jealous already!!

Have a fab time.hth

All i can say is take your rain coat, lol its beautiful there though enjoy.....maybe take stews, soups, and "just add water" type packets??? xx

We camp and I love my food, so I always take loads with me.
We have a 'two burner + grill' camp cooker like Chloe mentioned but we also have a Cobb barbecue which you can cook pretty much anything on. Check out-
Cobb UK - Barbecue specialists for outdoor cooking, grilling and smoking.
We are meant to be going tomorrow so I'm think about buying a pop up gazebo to cook under.
I always take lots of small cartons of long life milk for teas and coffees.
Also lots of fruit, and veg you can eat raw as these things can last a few days outside of the fridge. Oh, and soup! Soup is so quick and easy. I tend to wander round the supermarket looking for inspiration, just keeping in mind the limited cooking facilities I have and the fact that I won't have fridge.
Have a great time in Loch Ness x
