Can anyone recommend a good hairdresser in Middlebrough area.

Hi, I have recently moved to the area and I am having a very difficult time trying to find a good hairdresser. Unfortunately I have had two near disasters already :irked:

I like my hair to look natural, with different shades of blonde hi lites - however on both occasions I have left the different salons with yellowy blonde stripes - not the most flattering look! I used the 'salon recommender' as suggested on this site but that was my second disaster, so it's not fool proof.

So if anyone out there knows of a good salon in Middlesbrough area, please, please tell me.

Hi, sorry to hear that it didn't go well with your blonde hi lites. I don't live in your area but you can check the list of hair salons in your neighborhood here, under hair salons in USA

Thank you for your kind reply, unfortunately the link is no good for me as Middlebrough is in the North of England.

I was really hoping for a personal recommendation as the last site I used for recommending professional hair salons was not so good, the salon did not resemble their chic site... it was dirty, smelt damp, hair was matted on the stained mirrors and (my pet hate) still remained in the brushes and combs from previous clients...it was just so yukky! If I wasn't such a coward I would have turned and ran (but it was too late, my jacket has been whisked away, and I was gowned) but as it came with 5 star rating I thought I should stick it out.

Hopefully I will get lucky next time :cry:

Hi, I know you have posted this a few months ago and probably have found a hair dresser, but I used to go Stephen Barker on Linthorp rd but I think they have moved to psyche on the top floor. Either Stephen himself or Racheal are brilliant, but it is very expensive there.

I have also been to contemporary but have always only had Dave their top stylist do my hair.
I hope you have found a good one by now! xx
