hi
like many others in the beauty field i would like to offer princess pamper parties - i am kicking it off with a spa style party for my daughter 10th birthday next year .. im really going to town on the props, have managed to pick up 3 foot spas @ £5 from superdrug, ordered some cute spa robes, slippers and headbands from america, have a lovely make up case with those hollywood lightbulbs and plan to use my professional make up directors chair .. was originally planning a disco for her, but this is working out much more cost effective and i can use the props again - all going well!
i plan to offer parties for 2 age groups 7-11 and 12-15, not too concerned about the older age group, will probably specialise in skin care and make up lessons and nail polish application but want to make the parties for younger age group more like pamper party - i have done my research on the net and time and time again have come across pamper parties promoting:
mini facials and mini mani/pedicures then underneath it says "the above treatments are for entertainment only, not trainined in beauty therapy etc"
i learnt basic cleanse, tone and moisturise when i trained in make up artistry and eventually plan to learn lucury manicures, just wondered what mini facials and mini mani/pedicures entail?
i was thinking of doing little face masks using young and pure skin products and cucumber eyes, then cleanse and tone - would you be happy with your 7 yr old daughter having this ? just wondering if perhaps still a little too young?
i was thinking of offering mini mani/pedicures which would literally mean bubbling footspa, some nail polish, and sparkly footcream - then the same for manis soak in some lovely bubbles, nail polish and little nail art and sparkly hand cream - does that sound ok? i shall certainly not be doing file and cuticle work on young girls
as i mentioned, i do plan to train in manicures .. what age would you say they were suitable for ? was thinking of offering to 12+ is that too young, and paraffin wax treatments to age 15+
any help or advice would be much appreciated
