Client wanting Rihanna red hair

Hi every one, I have a new client with brown hair with bit of purple in, I know I will have to do a strand test and if it's in ok condition to strip it, but do I need to pre pig? Using a very light brown for the red to grip? And what red would you recommend as I use majirel red x

If your stripping it out with a mild bleach bath no you don't need to pre pig as you only bleach bath till you get orange, then use 6.66 with maji mix rouge
