College worry

hi i have just got a interview with clifton bank college in bristol on monday has anyone been there is it any good the interview is for beauty nvq 3 appreticeship i have just done a year at a a diffrent college doing nvq 2 in nails and didnt like it much but because i have done nvq2 in nails they said something about they had to get permission for me to go strait onto nvq3 for beauty which they got does anyone know what this means help:!: and im so scared wish me luck:o:o

So are you saying that you have no qualification in NVQ2 in beauty? Just nails? If so then i can't see what benefit going straight in to NVQ3 beauty would have without first completing level 2. You would be missing out on the most popular treatments such as waxing, facials, eyelash tinting etc. These treatments are your 'bread & butter' once you get out in to the industry.

This sounds bizarre to me, no point in being fast tracked if you are going to lose out in the long run.

I would bring this up with the college.

Remember that an interview is a two way thing. You need to make sure that this is the college and the course for you.
Think carefully about where you go to college; go to the wrong one and your CV will suffer. What do the local salons have to say about this college and course? Pop into a couple and ask for their opinions on the calibre of the students they turn out.
