I have a client next week, her roots are a level 4 and ends are a level 5/6, the ends do have a very gold tone to them and she wants the ends lighter, I plan to bleach and then tone to maybe a nice caramel colour but I know the bleach is going to go orange, my thought was to add a blue additive Like Wella special mix 0/88 but wasn’t sure on the ratio, does anyone have any advice or better ideas?

Are you talking about a root stretch where you’re just colouring the mids and ends?
I guess it depends on how you see caramel as a colour but in my mind, it’s quite a warm colour.
If you lift it to an 8, you will lift past orange and then tone with a warm-ish 8.

Sorry not caramel, she wants an ash colour I don’t know why I said caramel, I was distracted haha
