Yeah I would too, it's easier to track it when it's on the post with the pictures. Find it hard to follow sometimes when people are replying etc.

Forgot to take a before but here is an after on a lady who was blonde and wanted to go a purple/ faiding out into a burnt out copper on those very ends Was a fun whacky transformation myself and my collegue got to do :) ImageUploadedBySalonGeek1404464599.180659.jpg

Practising colour correction on my own dolls head that I messed up when I first started hairdressing! haha, I did a full head tint of Ion 6.3, didn't wanna use anything to expensive! then balayage/ombre'd it with 6% and toned with KP 7/34 to get rid of unwanted warmth and give it a nice warmth 😁ImageUploadedBySalonGeek1404732497.224305.jpg

Client had about 1.5inch regrowth the rest was tinted over previously bleached hair and was very faded towards ends.
I used colour touch 7/73 with a t section of bleach highlights with pastel under the parting then toned highlights with kp 10/16.
I have posted in other threads x

Loving all the pictures xx

when you say a T-section of highlights under the parting...what does this mean exactly, Is it that you section off a fine strip the entire length of the parting and then highlight the section directly below? So in reality a t-section with a small strip of non highlighted hair through the trunk of the T?

It looked great by the way!

Sorry I posted this the other day but didn't realise this thread was going, I'm recently level 2 qualified and beginning my level 3 and this was my first colour correction...

This is what I did - The top colour was black with a blue tinge to it so did bleach bath with 10 vol (hair wasn't in great condition and had several sets of highlights underneath) and used a bit of heat. Then bleach bath with 10 vol on the ends for 2 mins. Then went through with 4/0 and feathered down and put conditioner on the ends and cling filmed each section as some old highlights where revealed so pulled some out and put conditioner on. I took a diamond section on the top and coloured it all with 4/0. Put foils around the front. Ends were quite orange so just used blue shampoo and got the exact colour she wanted!

Yes that's exactly it just so you have like veil of colour over the highlights , I take diagonal sections for highlights too x

No befores because I always forget buuut
1- lady had years of reddy brown murky box dyes at about a base 4 this was the 3rd session of getting her lighter, but managed to achieve a nice neutral caramel 7 with base 8 highlights on the second time and no orange showing through.
2- She had been using xxl semi permanent colour which is just awful and makes the hair go browny orange when you try and bleach it out, and also using crazy colour lavender so had some funky tones in there, bleached roots and used affinage 9.2 over the top.
3- had her hair messed up by another salon, stripped and bleached out and just left yellow so once again 9.2 saves the day.

Today's colour .....transformed an old bleach dip dye which had a band of faded red previous dip dye above it and a natural section of regrowth to a much nicer glossy blonde keeping tips slightly paler.

Two transformations from this week
I'm only level 2 trained but happy with the results
Copper was to add life to a faded box dye over bleach, with about an inch or so of resistant grey. I wanted to give a multi tonal effect
Pink ombre was to correct roots, old xxl red dye and warm ends,

Looks Fab
Which pink did you use?
How did you prevent it bleeding into the blonde xx

I used part diluted crazy color cyclamen, making it like pinkissimo, but gave me more product to work with, and a high lift tint on the end, I kept the ends in foil while I rinsed the pink and washed off last. The client is aware that the colour will run but I've told her to put conditioner on the ends while she shampoos the scalp to reduce it. Saw her today and it seems to be doing the trick xxx

Love the pink! But why the high lift tint on the ends? X
