I have a client in her mid 40's with long layered hair, who is a natural base 4 - 5 with about 10 - 15% white, mostly in the front. She currently has Igora 5.63 (chocolate matt) on the roots and grown out balayage in the ends, at approx level 9. She wants to go lighter but keep the balayage look, so I will need to lighten up roots and re-colour them. I'm thinking I'll need to take the roots to approx level 7 and with minimum red/orange. At level 7 it should be mostly orange/gold that will be the issue, so will need to colour with blue/violet. Can anyone recommend colours and give some advice on how best to do this. I know I'll need to pre-lighten or maybe use colour remover???
