Colour techniques for men

Hi all
Has anyone got any ideas on techniques to do on men's colour? Especially bleach as yesterday I did comb on colour on a mans hair and it did not lift light enough (I used bleach 12%) maybe I should of wrapped foil round but it was very warm in his house. What other ways is there to get results when doing a comb on colour. I really don't want to go back using cap haha.

Did your bleach dry out on the hair? If so, there is your problem. Bleach stops processing once it drys - keep it wet and cover it, no matter how warm the environment is X

I use wella bleach but I'm finding lately it's not lifting as light as it used to. Thanks for your reply I shall next time keep it covered as it did dry out after and hour.
