Colouring hair when pregnant?

Hiya guys

Ive been having my hair coloured with matrix sr-rv and im booked in for my roots next week, but only a few days ago i have found out im expecting I have been told by a friend as long as i dont have the colour directly applied on my roots. Is this right?

As long as you have a patch test, in form your hairdresser you should be ok but due to hormone changes the colour may not take as well/longer/ quicker to take
So hairdressers do not like to do it in the first trimester, I myself am 26wks and do mine with the same colour every 4 week's and not had a problem (tho I had a reaction to a semi (wash in wash out))
