This may sound totally strange but here in the states (NYC) we have street fairs/parades/festivals every once and awhile.. Many places open up shop - somehting very simple & small outside their storefront.
Could you try doing this? Maybe advertising as a special or grand opening, or even under new management? People could walk up if theyre too intimidated to come inside and see exactly what you've got to offer.
If you DO decide to do this, secure the help of some friends and family that day and all of your current customers - book them ALL if you can! People will flock to other people!! It's so silly, but SO true!
Maybe you could offer $5 off their next booking, for whatever it is. Raise your prices a little, and then offer lots, and lots of discounts.. So you're making the same thing anyway.
People will assume your salon is of better quality (which it is) without even thinking, and feel like they're getting a deal.
