Hi can I just check that am I putting down the right thing for my city & guilds 2 beauty therapy. I am putting contractions maybe some redness due to stimulation and blood coming near to surface??

Can anyone confirm that?

Thanks:hug:

Yes, erythema is a contra action to facials, one which is normal and to be expected.A contra action can occur during or after a treatment, and adverse contra actions would include papules, pustules, excessive erythema, allergic reaction.

Thanks Eager Beaver, have a great evening!

relating to this, am I right in thinking that in the event of excessive erythema during a facial, the answer is to apply a damp compress and discontinue the treatment?

(it's whether or not the treatment gets discontinued that I am unsure about...tis for an nvq question)
