corner of nail snapped :(

Hi,
I have a little problem, today is my 3rd day of training with CND and I put acrylic on my left hand last night and today the corner of my index finger is cracked. I don't know what I have done and I dont remember catching it on anything, is there something I have done wrong when putting the nail on to make this happen? I am really gutted because I thought I had done a good set but surely the corner shouldnt just break off?

it could have been that your product was a little too thin in that area

i wish it was but they r quite thick, with them being my first set they arent as thin as they could be, maybe i filed the edge down too much, thats all i can think.
I just dont want it to happen to any of my friend as I start practising on them tomorrow night!
