I have gone from mobile to home based as I didn't like my stuff not being in one place. The thing is some of my clients have said they wanted mobile still so I said it will still do my clients I have but how can I get new clients now I am home based I don't use Facebook. I use twitter instagram Pinterest and google+ I also have a ad in gumtree and shopc I don't know how else to get more clients. There is tons and tons of nail
Technicians by me and also a town centre across the road but it's a discount salon as my sister in law went there when I fell out with her and her nails went so thin. Any ideas as I really need my business to work
Out. As my husband is ill and I need to be home based to look after him in between clients thanks in advance SalonGeek's x

I would really recommend getting a Facebook page, even if you only go on there for business. Most of my business comes from Facebook x

Hi
I went from mobile to home based years ago and it's fab, so much less stressful!

I'd recommend getting a Facebook business page, I get a fairly constant supply of new clients from Facebook. You could also google "free business listings" and register with lots of them, I'm on with about 30 sites and pay nothing but if you google nails and my area I come up on the first page lol

You could maybe try a refer a friend scheme, giving both parties a discount (only give it after the new client has been, not on booking), or a loyalty scheme.

Local charity events/schools/clubs are always pleased if you donate a gift voucher to their event, it gets your name around and they'll often Print it on the brochure, ok you give away a treatment but it may lead to repeat business and recommendations. I still maintain word of mouth is the best and obviously cheapest way to get new clients.

If there are a lot of techs near you, think about how you can stand out. Maybe specialise in nail art or natural looking nails, or perhaps very blingy? Think about who you want to attract and how you could do that. Maybe you do toes.... could you also offer a pedicure?

I run a competition from my Facebook page every month and give something away in return for everyone sharing the comp post which always has a nice photo or collage, always brings in bookings. Plus the winner will often write a review which is also good.

If you search on here I'm sure there are lots more ideas, good luck x
