Hello
I am new here and new to the nail industry. I am currently doing a Manicure/Pedicure home learn course with Essential Nails and really enjoying it. However, I would now like to try an enhancement course and I am totally stuck between two, I wonder if you guys would give me some advice.
Firstly I was thinking of doing the fibreglass course as I know that these can be used on natural nails too which gives another string to my manicure bow. I have heard these are fairly gentle and also easy(ish) to remove and as not all salons offer them, I thought this may be a good place to start.
That said, when watching 'The Salon' on TV a few years ago (does anyone remember that?) I was amazed at the acrylic sculpting that the nail tech did and I thought at the time that I would SO love to do that!. I know it's harder than overlay and I realise some of you will say I should start with acrylic or gel overlay, but I just think sculpting must be so satisfying and it also means it eliminates having to size up, glue on and blend in tips.
SO, what are your thoughts? There is a special offer on nail art when bought with a nail course at the moment so I will purchase either acrylic sculpture or fibreglass course plus the nail art course and a maintenance course this Thursday. I'm just really unsure which of the two to go with so would really appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks for your help.
