I am about to study Beauty Therapy, but am confused about what course to do. I am not sure if you have to study for a NVQ or is a diploma ok? I am a qualified Nail Tech, but really want to get in to beauty, I am just confused as what salons look for. I have found a course at the Southern School of Beauty, has anyone heard of this company and would they recommend them?

Thank you:lol:

Hi

I work for myself now but used to work in a salon. Before i chose my course, I looked at beauty job ads in my area and they were all asking for NVQ Level 3 so that's what i did - Level 2 then Level 3. Each course took one school year but i started working once i had my Level 2.

So maybe look at local job ads as things may be different in your area.
