Crushed Shells and Glitter Powder

I bought some crushed shells and glitter powder a while back.

What is the best way to apply crushed shells.

Are they glued to the tip and they acrylic is overlayed? Is it mixed with the acrylic and then applied?

I tried the last method but I guess I didn't have the correct ratio.

What I do is apply clear tip as usual prepair nail etc. Then using a slightly wetter mix ratio pick up bead and dot it in to the crushed shells glitter etc. I do small bits at a time let it dry then do a thin layer of clear over the top. Then when you file you dont file the glitter away. It will look dull at first but it buffs up to a lovely shine!!Hopr this helps
