I wud luv to comit fully to bein a colour tech. its what i looooove to do. is anyone on here specialised in colour? how do u start doin something like this? i'm guessing a wella master colour course? do u guys reckon it is realistic to want to do just one aspect? Dont get me wrong i like cutting too, but i just really really enjoy doing colour. i constantly get ideas and have started walking around with a notepad and coloured pencils. i spend a hell of a lot of time reading up about new techniques, new colour technology etc. and my colour theory is really really good i'd say.

You need to get into a big salon, or chain where they have colour techs, very few normal salons have them nowadays. West end is your best bet. You would continue to train under a top colour artist rather than a range specific course as lots of colour salons use different ranges. Jo Hansford and Daniel Galvin are the top West end colour salons to try.
It is extremely competitive so be prepared to live and breathe it.
