Morning!!
I just wanted to know if any if you take deposits for spray tan partys and any other treatments and if so how this works?

I was wandering the same thing as often when I book a party, 9 times out of 10 someone allways cancels!

Plus I send a free exfoliator sachet to every client just to give that extra touch, then it goes to waste!

I'm also thinking about this, but not sure how to word it to my clients who allready have regular parties as I don't want to put them off. Plus they will have to send the money. Can they be bothered with that?

I just don't know if it will put clients off if they're busy?

Thanks for replying siennax1, any thoughts anyone xx

Wherever possible, I get a £5 deposit per person for parties. I don't cover a massively wide area, and I just pop over to the host's house, have done it on a Sunday morning before.

It also gives an opportunity of giving the host all the pre-tan information for all her friends.

The only time I'd keep the deposits is in the event of a within-24-hour-party-cancellation, or there were far less clients on the night and I earned far less than planned.

And sorry if it sounds mean but I don't give anything away before the party, or to any new clients before their appointments. I've kind of agreed with myself that any little giveaways are as rewards, not as incentives.

Hi
I don't do parties, and luckily have had very few appointments cancel, However, when an appointment has been cancelled, if the client wishes to re-book - I ALWAYS take their credit card details and charge them a depost to their card, redeemable from the total cost of their treatment if they turn up a second time

Hope this helps?

Terry

No it doesn't sound mean at all. It's a business at the end of the day. I did it when I started out, but now I am growing in business more, I would like to start selling the exfoliator sachets, but not sure how to word it?

for group bookings I ask for a 50% deposit when they book the party over the phone then I arrange a day at least 48 hours before the party to get them all at the hosts house to fill in the consultation forms, go through leaflet on before and after checklist, do patch tests, retail exfoliant, soap and top up sachets, then get the remaining balance. then on the day they are sprayed and I do not have to worry about carrying money, filling in forms, if they are allergic to the solution etc as its all done. just set up spray them in solution order then tidy up and leave.:)
