In a world of my own....
Hi

I have a new spray tan client next week who suffers from Dermatitis on her hands.... she has been sprayed before and it did not affect her but as she is new to me, and to be extra careful, what should I recommend she does with her hands before spray tanning?

Thanks
Janet

Hi all

Would REALLY appreciate if someone could answer this question for me..

Thanks

Janet

If she has been sprayed before and it didn't affect her tan then i would just do your usual routine. If however she has any really dry areas on her hands then i would use vaseline on those bits.

You could ask her to wash her hands during the first 8 hours if she feels any discomfort, i.e. itching. Obviously her hands would be paler but it may be the only solution.

Hope this helps!

I would use moisturiser on her hands if they are dry. This will help with the tan not going darker in this area, and forming a slight barrier.
Vaseline will produce a complete barrier and her hands would be completely white.
Alcohol is the main cause of skin irritation so check the ingredients and make sure you give her patch test beforehand.

If she has not reacted before and is happy to have a spray tan i would just spray her as normal,
just make sure she has no broken skin on her hands first,

Thanks guys:hug:
