Dial density screw please help

Can anyone advise me please of why my density dial on my gun hvlp 5008 model has now decided that instead of being closed at 12 oclock it has decided to close at about 10 past? I have noticed this is effecting obviously how much I need to turn the dial now,,has anyone experienced this?? and why does this happen?
