Hi I have 2 different 10% spray tan lotions, one is double dip and the other single, can anyone let me know what the difference is please?

Thanks :)

Surely someone can answer?? Please

do you mean one says on the bottle to spray your clients once, and the other says spray twice over?

what brand is it?
it shouldnt make a difference. spraying twice is a waste of solution.

Double-dipped means that it has twice the amount of bronzers in. Therefore the guide colour will be darker than if it was single dipped. The developed tan will still be the same though

Thanks Angelina, that's exactly what i needed to know. I had an LA Tan 10% and an LA Tan gold that was also 10% but only single dipped rather than double like the others and I wondered what the difference was before I sprayed anyone!

Thanks:biggrin:

by a double dip do you mean you go over the body twice? if so and you do it at the same time its a pointless exercise as 10% twice is still 10% if applied at the same time,
however if you left it a day showered off the guide colour and then resprayed, you would achieve a darker result, but you would have to charge twice
the other use of the wording double dip is when the solution has a double bronzer but all this is is basically make up,it does nt last so you spray somebody and they are very dark when they walk out of the salon, but its still only a 10% dha tan,
The next day after they have washed away the guide colour the finished result is a lot lighter, and can be a disappointment,

No not talking about spraying twice as I know that that is a waste of time I just wanted to know why one 10% was double dip and one single what the diff would be, now I get it is just guide colour difference and the colour will end up the same.

Thanks :)

Yes a few of LA Tan solutions are double-dipped. Personally i don't like the idea. The guide colour is either too dark for the client who wanted a lighter tan, so they have to walk round with a darker colour till the guide colour is washed off,or, they get used to the darker guide colour and are then disappointed when it's a lot lighter after their shower!

Oh really? I've only used their double dips so far and have had a full house of happy customers!
